M/s Kailash Agro Private Limited or Kailash Agro Cold Storage (KACS) was formed in 2013. The company setup its first state of the art cold storage project in 2013 and began banana ripening facilities in 2013 itself. KACS’s plant was fully commissioned in 2014.

The company’s main business is storage and trading of fruits and vegetables. It stores Apples, Oranges, Grapes, Pomegranate, Banana, Ginger, Onion, Garlic, Potato, etc. The team also partnered with various institutes like NIFTEM for research in these various different commodities. The company also conducted trainings for NCCD in Banana Ripening as well.

Currently, the company is focusing on the POCCO Initiative @ INDICOLD, a potato value chain project to bring all stakeholders together on one platform in a community solution oriented manner. Our vision is to bring all the latest technology available across the spectrum to enable this community to prosper. We believe the cold storage will function as community hubs in rural areas. Currently, more than 185 students through the POCCO Initiative are working with us to make this a reality.

KACS is also working to make the promoters dream a reality of helping rural youth in setting up of businesses. KACS is in the process of setting up an IdeaHub with a rural co working space for people to come and work out of.
